The Treasurer’s Office is
responsible for the collection of Washington County
Sewer District No. 2 user fee bills. Payment can be
made in person at the Treasurer’s Office or via mail.
Checks must be payable to the Washington County
Treasurer.
Sewer bills for the
Operations and Maintenance of the Washington County
Sewer District are generated twice each year on April 1
and October 1. These bills are for sewer service
provided in the previous six months and are based upon
the users most recent water consumption wherever
possible.
Sewer bills dated April 1
should be paid by April 30 to avoid a 5% late payment
penalty. Bills dated April 1 will be accepted for
payment with the 5% penalty between May 1 and July 31.
Any bill unpaid on August 1 will be added to the October
1 bill with the 5% penalty.
Bills dated October 1, should be paid by October 31 to
avoid a 5% late payment penalty. Bills dated October 1,
will be accepted for payment with the 5% penalty only
until November 30. On December 1, all unpaid charges
will be assessed an additional 7% fee and these charges
will be relevied on to the Town & County Tax Bill that
the taxpayer receives in January.
