Different people have different needs...
...here are some of the ways we assist them in maintaining a clean
& sober lifestyle.
Monitor Success
On-going support
and guidance
Handle problems
with the treatment plan
Build self esteem
Assist with
achieving goals
Gain family trust
Encourage to give
up old friends
Cope with the legal
system
Manage without
money or a driver’s license
We encourage defendants to:
Attend self help
groups.
Get a temporary
sponsor.
Associate with only
drug free people.
Follow
through with their personal treatment program.
Be open and honest
and willing to participate.
Alcohol/Substance Abuse Services are designed to assist the courts
of Washington County in determining whether a defendant has a problem with
alcohol and/or other drugs.
When ordered by a court, a complete alcohol/substance abuse
evaluation is done and our recommendations are sent to the court.
Our agency monitors the defendants closely.
If we feel they are successful with treatment, we will advocate for
them.
Our agency can help in a variety of ways:
Evaluations
can be performed at the County jail or in the office
Develop
individual treatment plans
Referrals
to outpatient or inpatient treatment and follow up as appropriate
Monitor
progress and report back to the court and/or referrant
Work
with the client to transition them back into a clean and sober lifestyle
Attendance
at the 12 week monitoring group
Build
self-esteem
Work
with the family
