Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team
The Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team is a group of Deputies who have received additional tactical training in order to more effectively respond to non-standard community emergency incidents such as:
  • High-risk arrest and search warrant service
  • Barricaded subjects and hostage situations
  • Active shooting incidents
  • Correctional facility incidents
  • High-risk prisoner transportation
  • Tactical woodland operations
The mission of the S.E.R.T Team is to provide a highly trained and skilled tactical team as a resource for Washington County in handling critical incidents in order to reduce the risk of injury or loss of life to citizens, Deputies, and suspects.
